I have been looking for a rice cooker that would work well with little to no supervision. I have found the Zojirushi NP-HBC10 5-1/2-Cup Rice Cooker to suit my needs perfectly. Fully automated, I can just turn it on and forget about the rice until I get hunger pangs.
An item of both form and function, this rice cooker is the best one I have ever owned. With regard to form, the stainless steel finish of this rice cooker makes it look so attractive and it goes well with the other appliances in the kitchen. You can see it is built with quality too.
It’s sturdy and has been working well from the time I bought it. It cooks perfect scrumptious rice. The induction heating feature on it makes sure that the rice gets cooked evenly. I have never had to deal with rice crust ever since I got the Zojirushi NP-HBC10 Rice Cooker.
Keeping rice warm is also this rice cooker’s forte. It can keep rice warm in normal mode for up to 12 hours and there is even an extension of up to 2 days. The most amazing thing about this characteristic is that even in prolonged periods of keeping warm, the rice never becomes dried out or crusty on the bottom.
It is easy to use and like I said, works well on its own. You don’t have to keep checking on the rice you’re cooking as its timer is very reliable although, if you would like to know how much time is left till the rice is ready to eat, you would only know about it five minutes before.
It is a pretty easy to clean piece of equipment and the nonstick coating of the rice bowl is true to its word. The inner pot does not have a handle that is not affected by the heat though. I do need to use a potholder to get the pot out, but that isn’t much of an inconvenience to me. The Zojirushi NP-HBC10 5-1/2-Cup is a bit costly but I guess with all the features it has, especially its set and forget automation, it’s really a best buy.
