The Black & Decker RC866 20-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer is a must have for those people who enjoy having gatherings with plenty of guests. The previous rice cooker I had was only able to handle 7 cups, and I’d usually run out of rice to serve my guests and then need to cook more.

There was nothing wrong with my previous cooker, except for its capacity since my family frequently comes over. I then decided to purchase a bigger rice cooker that is capable of producing a bigger amount, and I thought 20 should be perfect. So when I saw the Black & Decker RC866 20-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer, I went ahead and bought it right away.
I knew right away it wasn’t going to cause me any problems since its Black & Decker. Most of my kitchen appliances are Black & Decker, and you really can’t go wrong with a brand name you can trust. This company had been producing top quality products for a long time now.
As expected, It was not disappointing at all. In fact, it works a lot better than expected. Sure you can’t really expect a rice cooker to perform any other kitchen tasks, but using the Black & Decker RC866 20-Cup just seems so effortless. I thought it would probably differ even just a bit from my previous rice cooker, but operating this much bigger rice cooker is just as simple.
There was nothing really different about this cooker compared to all the rest. Although most rice cookers this size actually gets more complicated to use with all of its unnecessary functions. It still came with all of your basic utensils, like the steamer basket, a lid hanger, measuring cup, and the steamer basket.
The only feature that does not come standard with every rice cooker is the non-stick cooking pan. This of course works perfectly since there is no longer the need to scrub off the burnt or sticky rice left behind, which makes washing it seem effortless. The condensation catcher all helps in keeping your countertop dry and clean.
The best part about the Black & Decker 20-Cup Rice Cooker is its consistency in cooking the perfect rice. As long as you follow the indicated measurements correctly, then your rice should come out the way it is supposed to, since you can use this to cook almost any type of rice. Also, you can use this to whip up your favourite steamed fish and vegetables.
