The Black & Decker RC436 16-Cup Rice Cooker, to me, is one of the best in its kind. Can you imagine purchasing a rice cooker with this capacity at such a bargain price, as well as carry along with it one of the most trusted names when it comes to kitchen appliances? Our family, which consists of 6 members, all love to eat rice. So we found that the Black & Decker RC436 16-Cup Rice Cooker would be perfect for us because of the amount of rice it is capable of cooking. Although it is an 8 cup rice cooker, when rice is cooked, it can produce 16 cups.
This easy-to-use rice cooker produces an almost perfect, restaurant type of rice, which we all enjoy since there is no longer the need to dine out just to have a nice meal. Not that we don’t enjoy going out, but with a family this size, expect our restaurant bill is a bit high. In short, it even helps us cut down our expenses.
This rice cooker is also quite simple to use. Just turn on the Black & Decker RC436, and wait until the rice has fully cooked. Once cooked, it automatically switches the indicator light from “cook” to “warm”, which maintains an ideal serving temperature without over-cooking the rice. So there is no need to open the lid just to check if the rice has cooked, because by doing that, since it keeps the heat and moisture locked in and avoid releasing steam.
Another feature that I loved about this rice cooker is its non-stick cooking pan. Cleaning up is a lot easier since we all know how much of a hassle it is to remove those burnt and sticky rice from the bottom of the pan. Not all rice cookers offer this feature, but I sure am glad that the Black & Decker RC436 Rice Cooker did.
Additional highlights include the steam vents and condensation catcher, its modern look design, as well as its side handles that makes it easy to carry around. This means that you can bring it along when you have picnics or any outdoor gatherings.
